Shihan Tracey Seymour began studying karate in 1980 under Grand Master Raymond Fitzpatrick. She has obtained the rank of 7th degree black belt under his tutelage. Upon her teacher’s retirement Shihan Seymour was appointed inheritor of the Nisei Goju-Jitsu karate system, which is based on blended styles of traditional karate and ju jitsu.

Shihan Seymour also holds a black belt in jiu jitsu and is the executive vice president of the Urban Legacy Foundation, an international organization which upholds the integrity and teachings of her art and sets up scholarship funds for up-and-coming young martial artists. Shihan Seymour prides herself in tailoring a program that is individual to the needs of every single student and fostering confident students who build strength in body, mind and spirit.
